How It Works

1

Your consultation

Desrene reviews your skin and hair type and builds a treatment plan made just for you.

2

Targeted treatment

Concentrated laser light targets the pigment in the follicle to disable future growth, while caring for the skin around it.

3

Comfort first

A calm, careful technique from a licensed esthetician who never rushes, so you stay comfortable throughout.

4

Your results

Hair reduces with each visit. Most clients do a course of sessions spaced a few weeks apart, mapped to your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most clients find it very tolerable, a quick warm snap with each pulse. It is generally gentler than waxing, and we keep you comfortable throughout.

How often will I need treatments, and how long between sessions?

Most areas are treated about every 4 to 6 weeks, because hair grows in cycles. We map out your exact schedule at your consultation.

I have dark skin. Can I get laser hair removal?

Yes. Laser works on a wide range of skin tones. We assess your skin at your consultation and choose the right settings to treat you safely.

What hair colours can be treated?

Laser works best on brown and black hair, which hold the most pigment. Very light blonde, red, grey and white hair respond less, so we will set realistic expectations at your consult.

Can I have my treatment when I am menstruating?

Yes, you can still be treated. Some areas, such as the bikini line, can feel more sensitive around your period, so let us know and we will adjust.

Can I get laser hair removal if I am pregnant?

As a precaution, we recommend waiting until after pregnancy and breastfeeding before starting or continuing laser. We are happy to plan your treatments for afterward.

Can I have laser over a tattoo?

No. Laser cannot be used directly over tattoos, as it targets pigment in the skin. We carefully work around any tattoos in the treatment area.

Can I get laser if I am on birth control?

Yes. Birth control does not prevent treatment, though hormones can influence hair growth, so results may vary. We track your progress and adjust your plan.

Can I get laser if I am on certain medications?

Some medications can make the skin more sensitive to light. Please tell us about any medications when you book, and check with your doctor if you are unsure, so we can keep your treatment safe.

What are the side effects of laser hair removal?

Most clients only notice mild redness or slight swelling around the follicles for a few hours. We send you home with simple aftercare to keep your skin calm.
